What are the power requirements for the kiosk in the USA ?
  110 V 50/60 Hz for USA

Will the kiosk work in countries with 220 V power ?
 
Yes, when we ship kiosks to countries that require 220 volts 50/60 Hz power we install a step-up 300 Watt transformer.

Can the kiosk function without an internet connection ?
 
No, the kiosk cannot function without an internet connection. We recommend that every kiosk be connected to an always on internet connection with a minimum 64k bandwidth. Examples: DSL, Cable Internet, Wireless, Satellite or T1. But, the connection needs to be always on.

I have a firewall on the network that the kiosk is sitting on. Is this a problem ?
 
As long as the kiosk can communicate with the database server and our technicall staff can remotely administer the kiosk there should be no problem. For this purpose we need to make sure that the firewall will allow the following ports to communicate into or out from the kiosk.

I have other computers on the same internet connection that my kiosk is located on, will that be a problem for your technical staff to get in on ?
 
As long as the incoming TCP ports 5800 and 5900 on your router are directed to the private IP of the kiosk, we should have no problem accessing the computer.

Whose responsibility is it to get the kiosk connected to the internet and making sure that all the right ports are opened etc ?
 
It is your responsibility as the owner of the kiosk to make sure that you work with your ISP or the local network administrator where your kiosk is located to make sure that the kiosk can access the internet and communicate with our database and reporting servers. TELeasy can only provide some limited assistance in helping you get that setup.
7 Is software included with the kiosk ?  
Our kiosks ship with all standard software included for you to be able to load the DVDs, input your rates, taxes etc, maintain your inventory and manage the carousels and the slots. It also includes the ability to rent using credit cards.
8 Can I also sell products from the kiosk ?  
Yes, there is a buy button on the screen that will allow users to buy any of the products in the kiosk.

What other products can be rented or sold from these kiosks ?
 
You can rent or sell game discs, software CDs, Audio CDs or DVDs from the kiosk. If it fits inside our plastic jewel case, you can rent it or sell it on our kiosk.
10 What technology is used to store the movies ?  
Carousel based technology is used for storing the movies, each carousel holds 75 DVDs, the standard kiosk cabinet can hold upto 4 carousels or 300 DVDs

What kind of labels do you use to identify the DVDs ?
 
RFID labels are used for labeling the DVDs. You need one label per DVD

Where can we buy RFID labels from ?  
RFID labels can be purchased from TELeasy directly in packs of 100.
13 Can I use my kiosk for renting only and disable the buy button ?   Yes

Can the customers browse the selection offered without swiping a credit card
  Yes

Do you recommend connecting the kiosk to only a dial up modem line ?
 
No, these days, with high speed internet connections available everywhere, we do not recommend anyone using a dial up line. Although, it could work with it, it is a lot easier to maintain and administer the kiosk with a high speed line connected to it.

What about those customers that don't have credit cards ? Can they not rent from your kiosks ?
 
The owner of the kiosk gets to decide if they want to enable the "Rent By Membership Card" feature on the kiosks. This can allow customers to rent using a membership card. The membership card can be loaded with cash in many different ways.

Do any of your kiosks come with a cash acceptor installed ?
 
Yes, a kiosk can be purchased with an optional Bill Acceptor. This allows the customers to use bills to pre-load or re-load their membership cards. It also allows customers to buy DVDs using cash.

Can a membership card be loaded with a credit card too ?
 
Yes, membership cards can be loaded with cash or credit cards.
19 Where can we buy the membership cards ?  
Membership cards can be purchased directly from TELeasy in packs of 100.

Can a drivers license be used as a membership card ?
 
We are currently using Driver's Licenses as membership cards in Colorado state. We can program the system to accept other state licenses to work as membership cards, but, additional hardware and software may have to be purchased. Please talk to our sales department for further details.

Can other IDs such as student IDs or employment IDs be used as membership cards on your kiosks ?
 
Yes, we can custom develop and modify our application to accept any kind of IDs as long as we are given the appropriate information by the issuer of the IDs.
22 Is the credit card information safe ?  
We do not store any credit card information on any of our kiosks. All credit card strings are instantly encrypted using 128 bit encryption technologies and then transmitted to the processing gateways.

How is the movie information downloaded onto the kiosk ?
 
Movie information is entered online by the kiosk owner through a secure password protected webform. This information is only entered once. It can imported on all the kiosks ownedby the same owner.

Where does the owner specify the rental rates, late fees and movie price, maximum rental days ?
 
These fields are specified online. And then imported into the machine's local database.
25 Is the kiosk software secure and protected ?  
Yes, passwords are required to exit the DVDrental software. Separate passwords are also required to be able to access the DVDmanager software.

Which credit card processors are compatible with the kiosk ?
 
All credit card processors that are authorized with PCCharge's IP server software are compatible with the kiosk software.

When membership is used, can the owner specify that a minimum amount of deposit be maintained on the account at all times.
 
Yes, the owner can set the deposit amount that needs to be maintained on the membership card. If the membership card is used.

Can there be a limit set on number of movies that a member can have at a given time ?
 
Yes, the owner of the machine can decide as to how many movies can a member have out at a given time.
29 What is the kiosk cabinet made out of ?  
The kiosk cabinet is made out of 18 guage powder coated steel.
30 What are the dimensions of the kiosk?   24" diameter x 80" Tall
31 How much does the kiosk weigh ?   The kiosk weighs about 240 Lbs.

How many DVD retail covers can I display on the kiosk ?
 
On each side of the kiosk is a panel that can hold upto 9 DVD retail boxes. So, a total of 18 retail boxes can be displayed with the standard kiosk. However, additional panels can be attached to both sides of the kiosk to double or triple the display capacity of the retail boxes.

What kind of cases are the DVDs stored and vended in ?
